Regarding Internet Rejection In Badui Dalam, Kominfo HR Research And Development: It May Be A Political Factor
JAKARTA - Based on the Measurements carried out by the Ministry of Communication and Informatics and Digitalent, it was revealed that the score of the Digital Community Index in Indonesia was 37.8.
This means, according to the Head of the Human Resources Research and Development Agency, Kominfo Hary Budiarto, currently digital people in Indonesia are quite skilled at using digital devices, but they are still not productive.
However, as previously known, one of the tribes in Indonesia, namely the Interior Bedouin, had rejected the entry of internet networks into their territory, citing the preservation of the culture of the people there.
Regarding the refusal to enter the internet into areas in Indonesia, Hary Budiarto said that Kominfo continues to provide education regarding the use of the internet in the region.
"We have tried (an internet recognition), but not in Badui. Well, we tried in Simalungun, there are Rimba people there. We teach them to make pictures using computers, and they can," said Hary in Jakarta, after the Grow with Google event on Thursday, June 15.
According to him, the support of the internet network that occurred in the Inner Bedouin tribe, one of the tribes in Banten province was due to other factors.

"Maybe yes, if it's in Badui, actually if it's an internet signal, it's impossible to disturb it, right. They also don't know if there is a cellphone signal or not there, they don't have a cellphone. So, in my opinion, it's a political problem," he told the media crew.
Therefore, according to him, if the rejection occurs due to technological problems, the people there will not know whether or not there is an internet network in their area without a cellphone.
"It is impossible for someone to know if the signal goes there or not, because they don't have a cellphone. Because if they have a cellphone, if the internet is turned off, they will get angry. But if it's in the Inning Bedouin, they can know where the internet goes from there, right," he explained.
So, Hary claims that the problems that are currently happening in Badui are not a matter of technology, but a problem of other factors.
