Pretending To Offer Prices, Mothers Steal Ulos Songket Tarutung Tax
The suspect ENS (35), a housewife who stole Ulos Songket from the Tanutung Market, Tarutung District, North Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra, was threatened with five years in prison.
The suspect is suspected of violating Article 362 of the Criminal Code, with a penalty of five years in prison.
"The suspect ENS, a resident of Parparean 1 Village, Porsea District, Toba Regency, arrested personnel from the Sat Reskrim Polres Taput, Saturday (3/6) after carrying out the action," said Taput Police Chief AKBP Johanson Sianturi, through Head of Criminal Investigation Unit Iptu Zuhatta Mahadi, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 14.
Zuhatta said the arrests were made after the victim AH (49), a resident of Lumban Siagian, Sitas Barita District, reported the incident to the Taput Police, Saturday (27/5).
The results of the examination of witnesses, the identity of the perpetrator was identified. The perpetrator was later arrested.
"Based on the results of the investigation, the suspect admitted that he committed the theft of AH's Ulos Songket Tarutung from his kiosk at Tarutung tax," he said.
Before the suspect committed the theft of the songket ulos type, ENS first pretended to bid for merchandise near the victim's stall while monitoring.

At that time, at around 09.00 WIB, the victim left his stall. To determine whether the victim had been going for a long time, the suspect pretended to contact AH by telephone where he was.
"Previously they had communicated pretending the suspect wanted to buy Ulos Songket Tarutung and exchanged cell phone numbers," he said.
Kasat Reskrim added that when he found out that the victim had been away for a long time, the suspect took AH's ulos songket from his stall and then went back to Toba Regency.
The victim's belongings were one pair of Jugja-type ulos batak cloth, one pair of Harkungan Tarutung batak ulos cloth, two pairs of Harkungan Meat Batak ulos cloth.
"Then three pairs of Batak ulos cloth of the Blank Cup type, two pairs of Batak ulos cloth of Iccor type, four pairs of Tumtuan Batak ulos cloth, three sheets of Batak ulos cloth of the type Punca Bintik," said Zuhata.
