Defendant Of Embezzlement Of BRI Customer Money Rp900 Million Sued 7 Years In Prison
Garut District Attorney, West Java demanded seven years in prison for a former BRI employee in a case of embezzlement of customer money amounting to Rp900 million.
"The demand is seven years, it is based on conscience," said Head of the Special Crimes Section of the Garut Prima Kejari Sophia Gusman, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, June 9.
Furthermore, he said, the panel of judges will read out the verdict on June 14 at the Bandung District Court.
"We believe that the indictment that has been proven in court has been fulfilled, we are just waiting for the verdict, the schedule is June 14, 2023," said Prima.

In this case, the defendant was also required to pay a fine and return the customer's money of Rp900 million.
According to Prima, before the legal process, the defendant had replaced the money amounting to Rp50 million.
"So the current state loss is only Rp. 850 million," he said.
