Sandiaga Welcomes His Name Called Puan Maharani Bakal Cawapres Ganjar
JAKARTA - Spokesperson Sandiaga Uno for Political Affairs Denny H. Suryo Prabowo welcomed the name of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno who was included in the radar of the prospective vice presidential candidate who accompanied the PDI-P (PDIP) presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo.
"Basically, we welcome all friends, especially Mbak Puan Maharani has also mentioned the name Bang Sandiaga Uno several times," said Denny, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, June 8.
The name Sandiaga was first mentioned by the Chairperson of the PDIP DPP Puan Maharani as one of the names on the radar of Ganjar's future vice presidential candidate (cawapres) in internal consolidation with PDIP cadres in Sukabumi, West Java, in mid-May.
Second, Puan again mentioned Sandiaga's name when he detailed a number of names that were being considered as Ganjar's companion on the sidelines of the PDIP Rakernas III event, in Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta, last Tuesday.
On this occasion, Puan also conveyed that the couple promoted by PDIP in the 2024 presidential election, if they get the mandate of the elected people as president and vice president, must continue the government programs of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
According to Denny, Sandiaga as one of the ministers in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet (KIM) is certainly in line with Jokowi's vision and mission so that he can continue President Jokowi's government programs.
"Bang Sandiaga has always been in line and in line with President Jokowi," said the Secretary General of the Indonesian Sandi Uno House (RSI).
Denny also said Sandiaga was ready to cooperate with anyone for Indonesia's progress.
"All doors are still wide open. Political developments are still very fluid. Perhaps, there will be surprises in the future," said Denny.
Based on the schedule set by the General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia, the registration of prospective presidential and vice presidential candidates is scheduled to start from October 19 to November 25, 2023.
