The project also involves local companies such as Commercial Japan Partnership Technologies (CJPT) in order to achieve optimal and more efficient specifications for long-distance logistics vehicles. The competition from Mitsubishi MiniCab MiEV is estimated to have a distance of up to 200 km.
This new BEV platform, which is being worked on, is at the core of a new generation of electric minivans. It is also known that Toyota is gradually making a breakthrough into the EV market with a series of offers and investments in that direction.
