The Indies Express Disconfidence Through Body Case Songs

JAKARTA - Singer Baskara Putra or known as the stage name Indies has again presented a new single entitled Body Case which expresses self-confidence in his own body.

"Having confidence is a very difficult thing, and I have a high respect for those who can be comfortable with their bodies," the Indies said as quoted by Antara, Friday.

Body matters, which were released last Thursday, revealed about the discomfort and inability of the Indies in responding to its own body.

He found it difficult to admit that self-confidence was in him. According to the Indies, he became increasingly introspective about it after writing the lyrics of the song.

The Body Case is the third offering from the full album of the second Indies entitled After Life Will End. The album will be released in two parts on 7 and 21 July 2023.

Previously, the singer from Jakarta had issued two other singles, namely False Promises and Future Problems, which were launched on March 3 and April 5.

Unlike the previous two singles produced by Enrico Octaviano, this time the Indies collaborated with Kareem Soenharjo or known as the BAP stage name. and the FATHER for the single Body Case. Kareem is also included in other major producers on the album After Life will end.

The process of working on Body Cases is also different from the previous two singles. The third single was created by choosing the musical material that is already in the Kareem archive which is considered suitable for the topics to be raised.

"The instrumentation and format of this song was completed much earlier than the lyrics and theme," said the Indies.

To get a point of view with a specific topic, the Indies took quite a long time, more than one year from the first time the music for the song was finished first.

The song comes with a minimal beat processed by Kareem, supporting expressions of anxiety felt by the Indian body itself through the lyrics he wrote.

For the Indies, the Body Case is one of the songs that clearly shows the difference between the first album and the second album from the point of view in responding to a feeling.

Single Body Cases, circulated by Sun Eater, can be enjoyed by listeners on various digital music platforms starting May 18, 2023. The video clip will also air on the same day on the Indies YouTube channel.
