Ternate Pier Severely Damaged By Ferry Ship, PT ASDP Deploys Identification Team
MALUKU - Ferry port Pier Ternate Branch, North Maluku, was badly damaged by the KMP City Line ferry. PT ASDP head office launched an identification team for the cause of the incident.

This was to reveal the cause of the incident on Thursday, May 10, when the KMP City Line Ferry ship docked at pier one to load passengers and goods while sailing to Sofifi. However, the ship lost control and was carried away by strong currents, causing it to crash into the dock and there were no casualties in the incident.
He said it took his party about a week to conclude that the results in the identification of the dock collision would then report to the top leadership.
"We as many as 10 teams from PT ASDP Head Office who were instructed to come to Ternate City, to see the damaged condition of the dock, as well as report the identification results to the leadership," he said.

Touching on the extent of this issue, he said, PT ASDP Head Office has met with Mutiara Pertiwi, who is a private company that manages the KMP City Line ferry to quickly resolve this problem.
"We hope that as soon as possible the dock one at the Feri Port of Ternate Branch will be completed, so that services for shipping routes between islands can run optimally," said Dewi.
Previously, in this collision incident, the Police from the North Maluku Regional Police Ditpolairud examined as many as 10 witnesses, both from the crew elements of the ship and from PT ASDP to support the results of the investigation, in order to reveal the incident.
