Just Launched, Toyota BZ3 Sold 2,000 More Units In China
Not long after its launch, Toyota announced that its newest electric sedan, bZ3, sold 2,342 units on the Chinese market.
Toyota bZ3 was developed by joint ventures Toyota, BYD Auto, and FAW Toyota, namely BYD Toyota EV Technology (BTET).
Reporting from the Carnewschina page, Saturday, May 13, Toyota reports that it has received 5,000 bZ3 orders, which there are priced at 169,800 yuan or around Rp362 million.
In March, the electric sedan only sold 297 units, especially during exhibitions or test drives. Then in April, this figure rose to 2,342 units sent to consumers.
The sale also spread to SUV brothers, bZ4x, which sold 1,777 units in April in China. In total, the sales of the Toyota series bZ in the Bamboo Curtain country were 4,119 units.
Toyota bZ3 is based on Toyota's e-TNGA platform that uses technology from BYD, as well as other components such as LFP Blade batteries and Fudi Motor electric motors, which are BYD's subsidiaries.

Toyota bZ3 comes in three types with a fairly wide dimension, namely a length of 4,725 mm, a width of 1,835 mm, a height of 1,475 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,880 mm. The lowest variant, the Elite Pro, has a distance of 517 km which is powered by a single front electric motor. This type has the fastest charging from 30 to 80 percent within 27 minutes. The highest variant has a range of 616 km at a price of 199,800 yuan or around Rp426 million.
