North Sumatra Police Are Still Investigating The Aisiah Shinta Dewi Case Even Though The Family Withdraws The Report At Bareksrim

JAKARTA - The North Sumatra Police (North Sumatra) are still investigating the case of Aisiah Shinta Dewi who died as a result of falling on the elevator at Kualanamu Airport, some time ago. Although, the family has withdrawn the report at Bareskrim Polri.

Ausiah Shinta Dewi's husband had originally made a report on the alleged negligence that caused someone's death.

"However, for the process currently underway at the North Sumatra Police," said Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Police, Kombes Hadi Wahyudi to VOI, Saturday, May 13. "Until now, police investigators are still working and are still investigating."

The reason the North Sumatra Police are still investigating the case is because the investigation into the cause of the death of Aisiah Shinta Dewi was not based on reports from the family. However, referring to the discovery of the body on the day of the incident.

"The process was based on the discovery of a corpse under the Kualanamu Airport elevator which was stated in LP model A made by members of the Deli Serdang Police," he said.

However, when asked about the peace agreement between the Aisiah Shinta Dewi family and PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi, Hadi was reluctant to comment, including the question of the possibility of the investigation process being stopped.

According to him, this matter will be determined from the results of the investigation conducted by the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the North Sumatra Police.

"So related to all of that, we will wait for the progress which is currently still ongoing. How will we wait for the results of the investigation," said Hadi.

As a reminder, Aisiah's body was found under the ground floor of the elevator at Kualanamu International Airport, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra on Thursday, April 27.

Based on CCTV footage, Aisiah was seen climbing the elevator alone. When he arrived on the second floor, he thought the elevator door in front of him was not open and damaged.

In fact, the elevator exit access is at the door behind it. Aisiah is said to have called her nephew and reported that she was trapped in the elevator.

Then, he had time to press the button and tried to open the elevator door using his left hand. When the door opened, Aisiah did not look at the front direction until she finally fell into the narrow gap of the elevator.
