Black Fortuner Using Fake Police Service Plates Actioned By Police In Pasar Baru

The Central Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit (Satlantas) has ticketed a Toyota Fortuner car driver with a fake Police service plate that passes around the Pasar Baru area, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta.

The black car is also equipped with a police rotator light. When crossing the highway, the driver of the car is like a police official.

However, on suspicion, officers from the Central Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit took action against the car.

"Our driver will give a ticket. We will remove the lamp (rotator) which is not in its designation," said Head of Central Jakarta Traffic Unit, Kompol Purwanta, when confirmed by VOI, Friday, May 12.

Controlling vehicles with law enforcement officials' official plates will continue to be intensified to prevent criminal acts on the streets. Moreover, the perpetrators often use fake service plates to intimidate other motorists.

"The control of vehicles with official license plates is from what goes viral in the West Jakarta area. In Central Jakarta, we have only received 1 vehicle. We are conducting operations with the TNI," he said.
