Police Are Investigating Allegations Of Negligence In The Case Of A Technician Killed By An Elevator At The Central Java Governor's Office
SEMARANG - Police are investigating the alleged element of negligence in the work accident that killed Andrianus Ariwibowo (36), a technician who was caught in an elevator cage on the 3rd floor of building E, the Central Java Governor's Office complex.
Semarang Police Chief Kombes Irwan Anwar said the alleged negligence could have come from the victim himself or someone else.
"It is being handled by the Criminal Investigation Unit, the negligence of other people or from the victim himself," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 9.
According to him, as a technician who was assigned to carry out treatment, the victim should have controlled the electricity system at the elevator.
Previously, a technician died in a work accident while carrying out an elevator treatment at Building E, Central Java Governor's Office complex, Semarang, Monday (8/5).
The victim was caught while the elevator was being treated moving up from the 3rd floor to 4th floor in the building.
The incident began when two technicians from CV Parisa Abadi Cerah carried out regular maintenance of the two elevators in Building E, the governor's office complex.
The two technicians were assisted by one of the freelance daily workers at the governor's office.
