Delegation Of The ASEAN Summit Will Hunt Sunset At Marina Labuan Bajo Port
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation revealed that one of the activities of the ASEAN Summit delegation in Labuan Bajo was hunting for sunsets or sunsets. The plan is that ASEAN leaders will see it from the top of the phinisi ship in the Marina Harbor area.
Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi also ensured that sea transportation provided maximum service to support the smooth implementation of the ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo from 9 to 11 May 2023.
Budi said, a number of arrangements in the sea transportation sector have been made, one of which is to regulate the movement of ships in the waters of the Marina pier, as well as around the Meruorah Hotel and Hotelirana, which are one of the venues for the ASEAN Summit activities.
"The Marina Port will be the location for the activities of ASEAN leaders who will see the sunset (sunset) through the phinisi ship," he said in a written statement, Tuesday, May 9.
In addition, continued Budi, at this port there will be a bazaar area, entertainment and bicycle facilities for ASEAN Summit delegates. Budi also ensured that the condition of the port was well-organized.
"This international event, such as the ASEAN Summit, provides lessons for us to continue to protect ourselves, especially in terms of service and cleanliness," he said.

Not only that, said Budi, to maintain water security and regulate the movement of phinisi ships and klotok boats (fish boats) that usually pass through these areas, the Ministry of Transportation has alerted two patrol boats from the Directorate of Marine and Coast Guard Units (KPLP) of the Directorate General of Sea Transportation from 5 to 12 May 2023.
"We will arrange proportionally for fishing boats and phinisi vessels that usually pass through these locations," he said.
The patrol boats deployed were the KPLP Patrol Vessel KN Chundamani P.116, which is owned by the Tanjung Perak Class II PLP Base and the Jembio KN belonging to the Tanjung Priok Class I PLP Base.
The patrol ships are equipped with 23 personnel each, who are ready to maintain security and security around the waters, he explained.
