Not Accepting Being Sued For 1.5 Years In Prison, Ferry Irawan Calls Venna Melinda Depression
JAKARTA - Ferry Irawan was sentenced to 1.5 years in prison in the case of domestic violence (KDRT) Venna Melinda. The General Penuntun prosecutor stated that the charges were reviewed from elements of the indictment which were proven valid and convincing in a trial held at the Kediri City District Court (PN), East Java, Wednesday, May 3.
"This was the agenda of the trial for the reading of the indictment from the public prosecutor. That in the indictment, the point is that the team believes that the elements of the indictment charged by the defendant are proven to be legal and convincing according to the law. So the public prosecutor demands that it be commensurate with his actions, one year and six months," said the Public Prosecutor of the Kediri City Prosecutor's Office, Yuni Priyono, quoted from ANTARA, Thursday, May 4.
Ferry Irawan's attorney, Epi Fani Rahmat Gunadi, admitted that he objected to the public prosecutor's demands in his client's case. The lawsuit is considered excessive.
"From us, we think it is too much. We will defend it at the pledoi next Tuesday. We'll just have to wait," said Epi Fani Rahmat Gunadi.
The trial of the domestic violence case with the defendant Ferry Irawan against his wife, actress and politician Venna Melinda will be continued next week with a defense agenda.
In the previous trial, the defendants Ferry Irawan who was accompanied by two of his legal advisers, namely Febi Fani Rahmat Gunadi and Michael Pardede, defended, such as Venna Melinda's bad character, if she was depressed, she would commit self-harm and attempted suicide.
In addition, Ferry Irawan also revealed that Venna's actions committed violence against him before the incident that occurred while staying at the Kota Kediri hotel. Venna is said to have beaten Ferry's mouth until it was bleeding.
It was also mentioned that Ferry was locked by Venna several times in a locked room from outside without being fed for several hours. Currently, Ferry Irawan is still being held at Kediri Class II A Prison until the legal process is complete. The trial process in Kediri, in accordance with the locus of the incident.
