Sad News Covers National Sports, Paralympic Athlete David Jacobs Dies

JAKARTA - Sad news enveloped Indonesian sports. Red and White table tennis athlete David Jacobs died at the age of 45, Friday, April 28.

The news was confirmed by the Deputy Secretary General of the Indonesian Paralympic Committee or NPC Indonesia Rima Ferdianto.

"Yes, that's right. I'm on my way to Jakarta (to the funeral home)," said Rima, as quoted by Antara.

Rima admitted that she did not know the exact cause and details of David Jacobs' death.

Condolences are crowded on social media, including from the official Instagram account of the NPC Jakarta, where David Jacobs is the chairman.

Yesterday, David Jacobs through his official Instagram account, @davidjacobs_tabletenis77, was still uploading photos on Insta Story. He also shared a collage of photos of togetherness with his family. The upload was flooded with condolences from his followers on Instagram.
