If PDIP Carries Ganjar, Many Other Parties Will Immediately Meet
JAKARTA - Research Center for Political Studies Aisah Putri Budiatri assesses that the PDI-P has the opportunity to form a major coalition in facing the 2024 presidential election. Especially if it carries the figure of Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate.
This will become a magnet and make other political parties close to PDIP.
"If PDIP announces its presidential candidate before this grand coalition is actually formed, then PDIP will become a game changer in the inter-party political lobbying process," Aisah told reporters, Friday, April 21.
According to him, when PDIP announces the presidential candidate, this will make other parties rethink their political strategy ahead of the presidential election.
PDIP will also become the flow of changes to political maps and make other political parties close together. Especially political parties that are not yet joined by the coalition.
"They (political parties) will see the potential to win, the potential to nominate the vice president and others," he said.
Aisah said that one of the reasons for PDIP and Ganjar to become political game changers was because they had the highest electability.
"This is also influenced by the consistency of public popularity and positive sentiment in PDIP, including Ganjar as the party's most popular presidential candidate," he said.
It is known that the electability of Ganjar Pranowo and PDIP is still at the peak of various survey institutions.
Ganjar's electability even skyrocketed again after declining after Indonesia failed to host the U-20 World Cup.
From the results of the latest survey from the SMRC institution, Ganjar is in the top position and ahead of Prabowo Subianto and Anies Baswedan.
