JAKARTA - Starting tomorrow, KRL Commuter Line users will not be able to travel to Cikini, Gondangdia, Juanda, Sawah Besar, Mangga Besar, Jayakarta, and Jakarta Kota end stations.
The reason is, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Daop 1 Jakarta will revitalize the railroad draft in Gambir Station and Jakarta Kota Station for eleven days, February 13-23, 2020.
In connection with the railway infrastructure improvement activities, all routes leading to the Jakarta Kota final station only stop at Manggarai Station, South Jakarta.
"PT KCI apologizes for the inconvenience that has arisen due to the engineering of this operation pattern. However, the engineering of the operation pattern needs to be done to ensure safety and anticipate the density of KRL queues at the Cikini Station - Jakarta Kota Station during the work," said VP Corporate.
Communications of PT KCI Anne Purba in a statement received by VOI , Wednesday, February 12.
Of the total 281 KRL trips from Depok-Bogor and Cikarang-Bekasi destined for Jakarta Kota and vice versa, there are 45 trips that will undergo engineering pattern operations and one train is canceled.
Apart from the Depok-Bogor-Jakarta City and Bekasi-Cikarang-Jakarta Kota routes, the KRL operation on other routes will continue normally as usual. To reduce confusion for KRL users who will continue their journey, Transjakarta provides 20 additional fleets that depart from Manggarai Station.
Public Relations of PT Transportation Jakarta (TransJakarta), Nadia Diposanjoyo, said that the increase in the number of fleets will take effect during peak hours. Meanwhile, the waiting period for arrival reaches a frequency of every 5 minutes.
"TransJakarta has as many as 8 (eight) special routes that pass at Manggarai Station and other routes that can be used to continue the journey, in addition to additional fleets that customers can use to continue their journey," he said.
Furthermore, to anticipate the buildup of KRL, TransJakarta will add 20 units of fleets from Manggarai station and border routes such as Bekasi Timur. Additional buses start at 06:00 - 09:00 WIB and 17:00 - 20:00 WIB for the next 10 days.
"Evaluation will be carried out every day if a different operation pattern is needed, of course we will do it according to the rhythm of the customers at each station during the maintenance period until it is finished," said Nadia.
