Guard The 42nd ASEAN Summit, Commander Teni Yudo Will Alert Warships In Labuan Bajo
JAKARTA - TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono plans to deploy warships for the Republic of Indonesia (KRI) at the location of the 42nd ASEAN Summit (KTT) in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) on 9 "11 May 2023".
"Yesterday we closed it, later we will discuss it with relevant ministries/agencies, and we have also prepared defense equipment, soldiers who will carry out security," said the TNI Commander at TNI Cilangkap Headquarters, Jakarta, Thursday, April 13, as reported by Antara.
However, the TNI Commander has not been able to convey further security plans considering the results will only come out after the meeting and review the location of the 42nd ASEAN Summit.
He continued to explain the first meeting related to security discussing the placement of defense equipment and field conditions in Labuan Bajo.
"Alutsista, because it is located on the seaside, of course we have also prepared the KRI, then the defense equipment there is very narrow so that we adjust the terrain. We have closed this first yesterday, the second meeting will continue," said Yudo Margono.
On the same occasion, Yudo Margono said that he and the National Police Chief General Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo would soon directly inspect the location of the ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo.
"Maybe in the near future, I will be with the National Police Chief, and the chief of staff will review the terrain there so that we hope everything can be carried out safely, well, and smoothly," said Yudo Margono.

The TNI Commander in the security meeting of the 42nd ASEAN Summit at TNI Headquarters, Cilangkap, Jakarta, Monday, April 10, ordered his staff to prepare an emergency response plan to anticipate various possible incidents that could occur during the event.
"The earthquake's natural disaster cannot be predicted to occur or not, but must anticipate how the emergency response plan/contingency is. In addition, community pets such as cows or goats are usually on the streets so that they are anticipated not to be on the road during the event because they can close the road access to the venue (event location)," said TNI Admiral Yudo Margono.
For the security of the ASEAN Summit, the TNI, as mandated in the legislation, is tasked with securing state guests who are on the list of very, very important people (VVIP).
The TNI Commander at a meeting at the TNI Headquarters, Monday, also heard the readiness plan of each task force commander (Dansatgas) who was part of the 42nd ASEAN Summit VVIP Security Integrated Command.
