Experts Call Today's Parents Lack Of Response To Teenagers And Pubertas
JAKARTA - Psychologist from the Youth Clinic of Harapan Kita Hospital, Ade Dian Komala, said that parents' mistakes so far in dealing with juvenile delinquency and their rainy problems are more talking and communicating with children.
"Parents should avoid just blaming and judging. So far, parents' mistakes are more talking than hearing and feeling better," Ade told ANTARA.
Ade said parents should accompany the turmoil of teenage problems that are prone to bad effects from the environment by communicating appropriately and effectively in two directions. According to Ade, effective communication can create harmonious relationships between children and parents and can teach children to think for themselves in solving problems.
Meanwhile, Pediatrician from the Child Clinic of Children's Hospital and Mother Harapan Kita Aditya Suryansyah explained that often the relationship between teenagers and their parents did not go well because teenagers were in the phase of finding their identity.
At that stage, teenagers mostly try new things, such as smoking and other negative activities with friends that can cause disputes between children and parents.
"The point is that teenagers are still unstable and do not fully understand the consequences of their actions. In the end, in the eyes of parents, teenagers are difficult to regulate and naughty. Their actions often trouble others," said the child specialist who studied the field of endocrine.
Aditya said parents must also understand teenagers who feel a lack of confidence due to physical changes influenced by hormonal fluctuations when entering retirement, such as body odors, acne to uneven dental growth.
According to him, parents should change their teens' views closely with delinquency, especially if they work around it by creating a beautiful teenage period and building harmonization between children and parents.
