Fugitive For A Year, Tabalong Weigh Bridge Corruption DPO Arrested In Bandung
The Tabalong District Attorney's Intelligence Team, South Kalimantan, arrested a convict with a wanted list (DPO) for almost a year related to the corruption of a weight bridge with the initials RN while in Cileunyi, Bandung, West Java.
Head of the Tabalong District Attorney's Office Mohammad Ridosan said the convict was found at the home of his adopted family in the Bandung City area, West Java.
"We found the convict on Monday, March 20, at the house of his adopted family in the Cileunyi area, Bandung City," said Ridin as quoted by Antara, March 22.
The Tabalong Kejari intelligence team assisted by the Adhyaksa Monitoring Center (AMC) of the AGO and the South Kalimantan Attorney General's Intelligence Office have arrested the convict in the corruption case in the procurement of land for the bridge considering the 2017 Fiscal Year.
RN is the main perpetrator of corruption in land acquisition for the Construction of the Motor Vehicle Weighing Implementation Unit (UPPKB) of the Tabalong Regency Transportation Service.
Previously, the Tabalong Kejari intelligence team picked up RN at Soekarno Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, Banten and is now being placed in the Tanjung Detention Center.
Furthermore, RN served a criminal sentence of the body and during the arrest of the convict was cooperative.
Based on the decision of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia Number 938 K/Pid.Sus/2022 dated March 8, 2022, Rahman was declared legally and convincingly guilty of committing a criminal act of corruption.
The convict was sentenced to six years and six months in prison and a fine of Rp. 400 million and imposed an additional penalty to pay compensation of Rp. 50 million.
