Anticipating Corruption, Lampung Provincial Government Implements Electronic Governance
In anticipation of potential corruption, the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of Lampung seeks to improve electronic-based governance governance. "Currently, the government is trying to convert the governance paradigm from conventional to electronic-based so that it is ready to enter a digital era where aspects of openness, accountability, speed, connectivity are the main points," said Lampung Province Economic and Development Assistant Kusnardi, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, March 15. He said in realizing the program the government had implemented an Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE). "So information between regional devices can be accessed more effectively and efficiently," he said. He continued, there has also been an electronic system to exchange data services through the implementation of the Government Service Liaison System (SPLP) to make it easier. Similar response was said by the Head of the Lampung Province Communications and Informatics Service Ganjar Jationo.
According to him, currently there are 14 Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) that already have their own applications capable of being used as electronic services. "We see these 14 OPDs as the first steps to try to implement an electronic-based government service liaison system in Lampung Province," he added.
