Binance Launches Anti-Scam Campaign Program, Anticipating Crypto Fraud Actions on the Internet

JAKARTA - Binance, the world's largest crypto trading platform by daily trading volume, has launched its Joint Anti-Scam Campaign program.

This campaign is considered the next step in Binance's efforts to protect its customers from various forms of crypto scams that have become increasingly massive in recent times. The initiative started in Hong Kong, a region known for its receptiveness to crypto innovation.

Binance has played a critical role in the digital currency ecosystem by being directly involved in identifying hackers and blocking attempts by these same hackers to launder funds through the trading platform.

Therefore, the Joint Anti-Fraud Campaign is designed to provide additional awareness to platform users in order to prevent unnecessary sanctions against fraudulent transactions.

Binance is working with the local police force in Hong Kong to create an alert and crime prevention message that includes helpful tips, examples of the most common scams, and relevant resources and contacts.

This message is sent to users based in Hong Kong when they initiate a withdrawal on Binance. This alert system has helped at least 20.4 percent of its users to revise their transactions since the initiative was launched.

Binance hopes that the Joint Anti-Fraud Campaign can serve as a reference for other major players in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. The exchange also plans to work closely with law enforcement agencies in other regions while continuing to promote their anti-fraud program.

Binance views this campaign as a complement to existing anti-crime and crime prevention initiatives around the world, including general operational law enforcement assistance and the Global Law Enforcement Training Program announced last year.

By launching the Joint Anti-Fraud Campaign, Binance is moving forward to suppress fraud in the cryptocurrency ecosystem and ensure the safety of their customers.
