Avoid Being Misused, 7,137 Blangko Elementary/SMP Diplomas In Ambon Were Destroyed
The Ambon City Education Office (Disdik), Maluku destroyed 7,137 pieces of the remaining blanks for elementary school diplomas (SD) and junior high schools (SMP) that were not used or damaged. "Today we destroyed thousands of blank diplomas for the 2017/2017 to 2021/2022 school as an effort to minimize the misuse of diploma blanks by irresponsible persons," said Ambon City Education Office Head Ferdinand Tasso, quoted by ANTARA, Monday.
He said that the thousands of blank diplomas that were destroyed by burning were blank diplomas that were not used or that the writing error occurred were returned to the office so that they were destroyed.
The destruction of blanks is in accordance with the regulations of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology Number 1 of 2022, concerning technical specifications and the form of procedures for filling in the replacement and destruction of basic and secondary education diplomas.
Thousands of blank diplomas destroyed include the 2021/2022 school year in the 2013 Curriculum, 77 elementary schools and 123 junior high schools.
The 2020/2021 academic year for the 2013 curriculum totals 200 sheets, the 2019/2020 school year as many as 913 sheets, 2018/2019 as many as 200 sheets, and the 2017/2018 school year a total of 5,594 pieces.
He added that people whose diplomas were lost or burned would be given a certificate issued by the school with the knowledge of the Education Office.
"To issue a certificate, a witness is needed, at least two friends from the class who are both taking the exam, as well as if there is a wrong writing of the diploma, it must be returned to the service," he said.
The process of destroying the blanks was carried out by the Education Office in accordance with the rules set, followed up with the signing of the minutes of the destruction by the Education Office and the police.
