Collaborating With Philippines Airlines, Traveloka Strengthens Tourism Business Growth In Southeast Asia Region
JAKARTA - The travel platform company Traveloka is further strengthening the growth of the tourism business in the Southeast Asia region through a strategic collaboration with the Philippine airline, Philippine Airlines.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the strategic cooperation between the two companies was signed by Iko Putera, CEO of Transport Traveloka, and Captain Stanley K Ng, President & COO of Philippine Airlines in Manila, Philippines, Tuesday 28 February.
In his statement in Jakarta, Thursday, March 2, Iko said that after the pandemic, people's enthusiasm for business and tourism trips has increased along with the return of consumer confidence in travel.
The surge was driven by the high spread of vaccinations and the reopening of international borders.
"Since 2015, Traveloka has expanded to six countries in Southeast Asia, including the Philippines. Our presence in the Philippines is a form of our commitment to providing services that focus on increasingly dynamic consumer needs. In addition, providing easy access through the adoption of technology that can be used to fulfill the travel aspirations of consumers in Southeast Asia," said Iko, quoted from Antara.
He understands that consumers have diverse needs and aspirations, including in terms of planning their travel trips.
Therefore, according to him, his party always innovates to provide relevant products and services, and is open to forming strategic partnerships and collaborations with various players in the tourism industry to provide the best service for consumers, including with Philippine Airlines.
Stanley K Ng said that he was pleased to collaborate with Traveloka, which would strengthen relations with the global market.
"Our hope in establishing this partnership is to open up new travel options for our customers to fly to beautiful destinations across the Philippines as well as international destinations," he said.

Philippine Airlines now serves 32 destinations in the Philippines and 39 international destinations, making it easier for tourists to visit the Philippines.
Iko added that the collaboration between the two companies will provide various choices and flexibility for travelers to be able to enjoy and explore tourist destinations in the Philippines that are more personal and unique.
"Our platform provides various travel solutions and services ranging from various accommodation options to local activities through Traveloka Xperience. We hope that this partnership will make a positive contribution to the recovery of tourism in the Philippines and Southeast Asia," he said.
