Sandiaga Encourages Creative Economy Actors On Inacraft To Become Economic Awakening Change Agents
JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno encourages creative economy actors (ekraf) to participate in the Jakarta International Handicraft Trade Fair (Inacraft) 2023, which will be held in South Sulawesi, on March 1-5.
The South Sulawesi Provincial Government will fill the Icon Pavilion with miniature Pinisi Ships in the main exhibition area as well as representatives of three tribes, namely Bugis, Makassar, and Toraja, at each Inacraft gate.
Inacraft this year raised superior handicraft products as well as the richness of South Sulawesi tradition, arts and culture with the tagline "The Authentic South Sulawesi".
Sandiaga explained that Indonesia is in the top three in the world because it is able to be in third position after America and South Korea. The government is considered to be able to support creative MSME players, so that this sector can host in its own country.
"President Joko Widodo also supports because the president was also a businessman who felt that Inacraft was really there. Therefore, creative economy actors are expected to become agents of change for the economic revival," he said in his official statement, quoted on Thursday, March 2.
"Let us support Inacraft with the proud spirit made in Indonesia," he added.
The target to be achieved is a retail transaction of IDR 145 billion with trade contact expected to reach 12 million US dollars or around IDR 182 billion.
"The transaction target before the pandemic reached Rp140 billion. We hope this year can exceed the previous target," added Sandiaga.
