Elon Musk Will Make Twitter Algorithm Into Open Source Next Sunday
JAKARTA - It seems that Elon Musk will soon meet the Twitter user's request to make the social media algorithm an open source.
In a reply tweet from one of the accounts to Musk when the Twitter CEO asked Twitter residents what they wanted from him, an account called @dsmart said he wanted to ask for an open source Twitter.
"Now that open source, then we will really be impressed," the account owner wrote to Musk.
Prepare to be disappointed at first when our algorithm is made open source next week, but it will improve rapidly!

Not long after, the owner of the Tesla car brand returned to reply to the tweet and said it would be launched soon next week.
"I was disappointed at first when our algorithm was made open source next week, but it will increase rapidly!" Musk replied later.
Despite that statement being true or joking, Musk has long been a supporter of the idea that Twitter's recommendation algorithm should be open-sourced.
According to TechCrunch records, Musk has also repeatedly expressed that belief, even before he led the social network and once again when announcing his intention to acquire Twitter in April 2022.
On the other hand, starting March 20, Twitter will no longer allow its users to use the SMS-based two-factor authentication feature, unless they subscribe to Twitter Blue.
Twitter will only disable their 2FA if it fails to switch before that date. The company admits the feature is popular enough to use, but unfortunately cybercriminals are also stalking this feature.
