North Sumatra Police Held Traffic Engineering In Balige During F1 Powerboat
MEDAN - The North Sumatra Regional Police carried out traffic engineering in Balige District, Toba Regency, to anticipate the density of vehicles during the F1 Powerboat super fast boat race in the Muliaraja Napitupulu Port area, on February 24-26.
"Our traffic engineering is carried out with the Ministry of Transportation and the local regional government," said North Sumatra Regional Police Chief Inspector General Panca Putra Simanjuntak in a press statement for the 2023 F1 Powerboat Lake Toba in Medan reported by ANTARA, Monday, February 20.
Panca explained that traffic engineering is important to do to ensure safety and smooth traffic during Lake Toba F1 Powerboat 2023 because thousands of vehicles are predicted to enter the area.
In addition, a number of parking pockets are also provided to accommodate the vehicles belonging to visitors who will witness the Lake Toba F1 Powerboat. Furthermore, visitors will be escorted to the location of the event by bus.
Along the way to the competition location, visitors will be spoiled by the presence of dozens of culinary micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as well as souvenirs which have been accommodated by the local regional government.

"Regarding traffic engineering management, we will continue to disseminate it to the community. So, later the management that we have compiled will really reach and be understood by the community. At a number of points, we will also alert officers to help people who have difficulty getting to the race location," he explained.
Panca also said that community activities continued during the 2023 F1 Powerboat activities in Balige District.
"But please, follow the route that has been prepared during the F1 Powerboat event. On the ground there are security officers who are ready to help direct the public regarding the changed routes," he said.
