Proven Globally: RI's Exports Have Dropped For Five Months In A Row!
JAKARTA – The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) confirmed that Indonesia's exports have continued to decline since the last five months. This was conveyed by Deputy for Production Statistics BPS Habibullah when holding a press conference today.
According to him, these indications began to occur in September 2022 with a record decline in export value to US$24.77 billion.
This trend then continued in October 2022 to 24.72 billion US dollars. Then in November 2022, it was US$24.09 billion, in December 2022 it was US$23.82 billion, and in January 2023 it was US$22.31 billion.
"Exports have declined in the last five months, both in terms of value and volume," said Habibullah, Wednesday, February 15.
Habibullah explained that the biggest decline in non-oil and gas exports in January 2023 compared to December 2022 occurred in mineral fuel commodities. While the biggest increase occurred in precious metals and jewelry/gems.

"By sector, non-oil and gas exports from the processing industry in January 2023 fell 0.44 percent compared to January 2022. Likewise, exports of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products fell 3.49 percent," he said.
In an editorial tracing, the largest decline in non-oil and gas exports occurred to China with minus 533 million dollars.
Followed by exports to India minus 305.7 million dollars, Pakistan minus 251.7 million dollars, Vietnam minus 219.8 million dollars, and Japan minus 187.2 million dollars.
