MADIUN - A woman in Madiun with the initials IS (36 years) had the heart to kill a newborn baby by burning it. What was this woman's motive for killing her own flesh and blood in such a sadistic way?

The resident of Ngranget Village, Datangan District, Madiun Regency, admitted that she had the heart to burn her newborn baby because she was hurt by her husband's accusation of having an affair. According to her confession, the husband accused the baby was the result of an affair with another man.

"So the motive for this mother was hurt by her husband's accusation that the baby that was born was the result of an affair with another man," Madiun Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police (AKBP) Anton Prasetyo told reporters in Madiun, Wednesday, February 8, reported by Antara.

This was discovered after the police questioned the IS suspect who was arrested while fleeing into the forest in a nearby village. Currently, IS is still undergoing treatment at the Dolopo Hospital in Madiun Regency after giving birth to a baby.

Meanwhile, to uncover the cause of the baby's death, continued Anton, the police will conduct an autopsy on the poor baby's body.

Meanwhile, the baby's body has been taken from the grave to expedite the process. According to the plan, an autopsy will be carried out at the Nganjuk Laboratory.

Previously, a woman with the initials IS (38) had the heart to burn her baby after giving birth until the baby died. Residents found the baby burned on a stove in the kitchen of the perpetrator's house in Ngranget Village, Datangan District, Madiun Regency, East Java on Monday (6/2/2023) evening.

Residents were suspicious because for several days the suspect's house was closed and when they knocked on it she did not respond. Residents then broke down the door and found IS burning her baby in the fireplace.
