Complaining About A Neighbor's Building Project, Mrs. Ami Receives A Death Threats Via Telephone
JAKARTA – Mrs. Ami, a resident of Kebon Baru, Tebet, South Jakarta, complained that her house was damaged due to the reconstruction of her neighbor's building. She has reported the problem she was experiencing to the RT/RW, sub-district head to City Hall, but until now there has been no answer. Even Ami admitted that she was terrorized by murder as a result of her complaint.
"I have also been threatened, there was a call, someone wanted to kill me. My friend said 'record it..record it'. I am careless (forgot)," said Ami when met at her house, Tuesday, February 7.
Ami said that when the death threats occurred, two unknown numbers called her. At that time, she conveyed a message not to prolong the problem.
"One day there was a call, 'this is Mrs. Ami' 'yes. "You're still talking, okay, I'll kill you," asked the caller.
"(I replied) 'just kill me, I die at the hands of Allah, why don't you just kill me" answered Ami.
Ami also revealed that this threatening act came from a construction project behind her house. According to her, in order to make her not talk much anymore to other people.
"Yes. (Like-ed) 'Just be quiet, calm down,' she said.
Until now, Ami has not made a report regarding the threats she has experienced. Because for her, the evidence is still not strong enough to report to the police.

“(It happened) Wow, it wasn't long ago, I was immediately shaken. Once weekly. I want to fight back but there is no evidence. But there is a telephone number," she concluded.
Ami's (53) house on X Street Number 9, Kebon Baru Village, Tebet, South Jakarta, suffered damage to the wall. This occurred in a building project by a neighbor, which is exactly behind her 1,000-meter house.
Ami recounted that the incident began in 2017, and related to plans by local residents to manage the land owned by Abdurrahman.
Furthermore, as the project progressed, she admitted that she was shocked, when she saw the construction project behind her house, in fact, it did not use a foundation.
“Soil, wood, and stones began to be piled up in the fields and then soil and stones were added. It was very noisy," said Ami when met at her house, Tuesday, February 7.
Since then Ami's house began to suffer damage. The walls of her house are cracked and damp because of eroded water. In fact, she has spent IDR 14.8 million of her personal money to repair her house, as a result of the development project.
"I spent IDR 14.8 million to repair these cracked walls. We used our own money. Some say this house is an old building. But why is it only this part of the wall that is cracked? The others aren't," she said.
She was worried that over time her house would collapse. Moreover, construction on the land behind her house is still ongoing.
"It causes me to sleep (underneath) the room, if, for example, the building collapsed, I can be safe. We only ask for one, he should put the foundation. We don't ask for anything more," said Mrs. Ami.
