News Of Reshuffle Strengthens, Mahfud MD Says There Is No Agenda At The Palace Today
JAKARTA - The Coordinating Minister for Politics, Law and Security (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD said there was no agenda at the Presidential Palace today.
“I don't know. There is no agenda at the Palace tomorrow (Wednesday), tomorrow the President will go to Bali," Mahfud said after attending the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) 1st Century Anniversary celebrations at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Tuesday, January 31, evening as reported by ANTARA.
When asked by journalists about the reshuffle news, Mahfud emphasized that only President Jokowi knows about it.
"I don't know, that's the President himself who knows," he said.
He said there was no invitation from the President for him to come to the Jakarta Palace today.
As for President Jokowi separately, when asked by reporters about the issue that he would reshuffle the Ministers of the Advanced Indonesian Cabinet on Wednesday, February 1, asked the public to wait.
"Yes, just wait for tomorrow. Wednesday Pon tomorrow. Thursday, Thursday Wage," Jokowi said after attending the Peak of the 8th Anniversary Celebration of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) in Jakarta, Tuesday (31/1) evening.

The issue of Jokowi reshuffling his cabinet on Wednesday 1 February 2023 has arisen because the President is known to have a track record of frequently announcing important policies on Wednesday Pon.
The news of the reshuffle of the Indonesia Maju Cabinet spread after there was pressure from PDI Perjuangan politicians for President Jokowi to do this to ministers from the NasDem Party after the party declared it would carry Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate in the 2024 election.
In the Indonesia Onward Cabinet, there are three ministers from the NasDem Party, namely Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya Bakar, Minister of Communication and Informatics Johnny G. Plate, and Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo.
