Germany Interested in Investing in Palopo-Makassar Power Transmission
MAKASSAR - The German Ambassador to Indonesia, Ina Lepel, said that her party is interested in investing in electricity transmission in the cities of Makassar and Palopo, South Sulawesi.
Ina Lepel said that after the COVID-19 pandemic, the German government was more focused on green industry projects.
"I will visit Unhas Hospital, there are medical devices there. There are also several projects, there is one in South Sulawesi, namely projects in Palopo and Makassar", said Ina Lepel to Secretary of South Sulawesi Province, Andi Aslam Patonangi, in Makassar, reported by ANTARA, Thursday, January 26th.
He explained that his arrival to South Sulawesi was indeed the focus of cooperation between Germany and Unhas Hospital and electricity transmission in Palopo City and Makassar City.
As proof that Germany and Indonesia have had a close friendship for centuries, the German Ambassador Ina Lepel and her entourage also handed over a history book of friendship between Germany and Indonesia.
Meanwhile, the Regional Secretary also explained the various potentials of South Sulawesi. Starting from agriculture, marine, and other potential. Andi Aslam also said that South Sulawesi is open to all, especially for investment potential.
"Especially for investment, we were asked to be friendly to investment. Our export commodities are seaweed, fisheries, and agriculture", said the former Pinrang Regent.
"Moreover, there are many raw materials here such as cocoa, coffee, and palm oil, there are also many marine commodities such as fish, shrimp, and octopus", he continued.

"We are also opening investments in the Bantaeng, Takalar, Makassar, and Luwu Raya areas. In Takalar there is the Takalar Industrial Area, Bantaeng has the Bantaeng Industrial Area, and in Makassar, there is the Makassar Industrial Area", he said.
