KPK Find Evidence Related To Bribe Of Grant Funds For The East Java Provincial Government After This Location 6

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched six locations to investigate the alleged bribery of the East Java Provincial Government grant that ensnared the Deputy Chairman of the East Java DPRD, Sahat Tua, P. Simandjuntak. The search was carried out from Tuesday, January 17 to Thursday, January 19.

"The investigative team has finished searching several locations in East Java," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, January 20.

From the search, investigators found evidence that strengthened Sahat's actions. Furthermore, these findings will be analyzed and confiscated.

"The evidence found and secured includes various documents and electronic devices that are still related to the budgeting of grant funds," said Ali.

The six places that were searched were

The residence of the Chairperson of Commission D of the East Java Provincial DPRD;House of Planning and Funding Coordinator of the East Java Province Bappeda;The residence of the Deputy Chairperson of the East Java Provincial DPRD is located in Pucang Sewu, Gubeng District, Surabaya City;The residence of the Deputy Chairperson of the East Java Provincial DPRD, which is located in Sukodono, Sukodono District, Sidoarjo Regency, East Java; The residence of a member of the East Java Provincial DPRD whose address is located in Mulyorejo District, Surabaya City, East Java; The residence of the Head of the East Java Provincial Bappeda.

Previously, the determination of Sahat and three other suspects was carried out after they were caught in a hand arrest operation (OTT) on Wednesday, December 14. This action is based on information from the public who know about the handover of money related to the management of the allocation of grant funds.

In this case, Sahat allegedly offered assistance to facilitate the proposed grant funds, which totaled Rp7.8 trillion. This provision is intended for bodies, institutions, community organizations in the East Java Provincial Government.

Sahat received from 2021 and continued until 2022 and then agreed to help for 2023 and 2024. The money received by the Golkar Party politician is thought to have reached Rp5 billion.
