Company Tips To Avoid Miscommunication With The IT Security Team
JAKARTA - Kaspersky conducted a global survey of more than 1,300 business leaders. As a result, more than half of the top-level managers (62%) admit, miscommunications with IT security departments or teams have resulted in at least one cybersecurity incident in their companies.
"What is clear communication between the company's executive and IT security management is a prerequisite for the company's business security," Alexey Vovk, Head of Information Security at Kaspersky commented in a statement.
According to Vovk, the challenge here is to put oneself in someone else's position, anticipate and prevent serious misunderstandings.
"This means, businesses must also understand that information security in the 21st century is an integral part of business and budgeting because it is an investment in protecting company assets," he added.
To make communication between IT security and business functionals within the company more transparent, Kaspersky recommends the following:
