DKI Provincial Government Fines IDR 5 Million for Feces Sucking Drivers Who Dispose of Their Feces in Dukuh Atas

JAKARTA - The DKI Environment Agency has imposed a fine of IDR 5 million on a desludging truck driver who is proven to have dumped waste on the main road in the Dukuh Atas area, Central Jakarta.

"The driver was given a sanction by applicable regulations, namely an administrative fine in the form of forced money of IDR 5 million", said Coordinator for Counseling and Public Relations of the DKI Environment Agency (DLH) Yogi Ikhwan in Jakarta, Tuesday, January 10.

Civil Servant Investigators (PPNS) and Law Enforcement and Monitoring Officers (PPH) for the DKI Environment Agency have examined the truck driver with the initial D who was found disposing of fecal waste this Tuesday.

Before being examined, PPH officers coordinated with the Tebet District Environmental Implementation Unit regarding the contamination of feces waste because a desludging truck was found in the area.

"After carrying out field verification to the locations of the stool truck pools around the South Jakarta area, the stool trucks were found around Jalan Tebet Raya", he said as quoted by Antara.

Previously, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Environment Agency received reports from the public via social media Instagram recording truck drivers throwing feces indiscriminately.

In the video, netizens see the truck with police number B-9458-SO throwing waste carelessly on the road around Dukuh Atas, Central Jakarta.

Yogi added, if he repeatedly commits similar violations, his party will apply higher sanctions, namely revocation of business licenses.

If the sanction is in the form of a revocation of a business license, it will be carried out by the Investment and One-Stop Services Agency (DPMPTSP).

"We are no longer issuing permits. Permits that issue PTSP later we will see if he uses a permit, usually, the permit expires too", he said.
