The Head Of Anies Volunteers In Bukittinggi City Was Beaten, Police: This Is A Debt Problem

JAKARTA - The Bukittinggi City Police, West Sumatra are investigating the case of a man who happened to be the head of the Anies Baswedan Presidential Candidate Volunteer in Bukittinggi City.

"It's true, we have received a report from the victim's wife who said the victim on behalf of Idris Sanur was abused and ganged up on several people in her own house on Monday (2/1)," said Ps. Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bukittinggi Police, AKP Fetrizal, in Bukittinggi, Tuesday, January 3.

He said that according to the report numbered LP/B/1/I/2023/Bukittinggi Police/West Sumatra Police on January 2, 2023, regarding the alleged crime of joint abuse, the victim was beaten unconscious and rushed to the hospital.

"According to the reporter's statement, Yusmina, the scene of the incident in the house which is located at the Birugo Village Education Road, ABTB District, Bukittinggi City, the victim was beaten and abused by three people, two men and one woman," said Fetrizal.

He said that for the time being this case was suspected to have nothing to do with political issues even though the victim was the Chairman of the Central Leadership Council (DPP) of the Gadang Home Volunteer Anies Baswedan.

"Temporary allegations, this is related to debt issues, we are still investigating and conducting investigations, the perpetrators are being hunted at this time," said Fetrizal.

Meanwhile, the victim's wife, Yusmina (32) said, the incident occurred at a house which was also a building shop belonging to the victim, starting with three people who came to the shop and then heard a noise while she and her children were on the second floor.

"What I saw was that three people ganged up on him, two at Hajj, and the other woman took a cement spoon, hit the hajj sir's head until it was torn off, who was it, I don't know, I have made a police report, hopefully the person will be arrested quickly, who knows clearly who it is, my husband but he can't be asked yet," he said.

Victim Idris Sanur suffered injuries to his head and entire body and had to undergo treatment at Ibnu Sina Hospital Yarsi Bukittinggi.

This incident caused a stir among the people in Bukittinggi City and the victims were immediately visited by Anies Baswedan volunteers who were around the local area.
