KAI Prepares Free Porter Services For Elderly And Disabled Passengers At Pasar Senen Station
PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta provides free port services for long-distance train passengers to improve services during the Christmas 2022 and New Year 2023 periods at Pasar Senen Station.
The portfolio service is dedicated to customers who will go through the bottom crossing (underpass) to get to the train on track 3 and 4.
"Officers at the service will proactively assist passengers who seem to need assistance, especially in the elderly, disabled, pregnant women and children who will cross the underpass to platforms 3 and 4 when leaving or vice versa," said Head of Public Relations of PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Eva Chairunisa to VOI, Sunday, December 25.
Eva explained that the free porter service was presented because during the holiday season the characteristics of train passengers (KA) who departed were mostly with their families and brought children and quite a lot of luggage.
"For this reason, train customers at Pasar Senen Station who will go to the train on lanes 3 and 4 can take advantage of the free porter service," he said.
Meanwhile, porter services with service tips according to user policy are still available, to help train customers in the Station area.
As is known, during the Nataru period, Pasar Senen Station was a long-distance train station in the Daop 1 Jakarta area for economic train departures which experienced a fairly high volume increase. Since Friday, December 23, there have been around 23 thousand users departing from Pasar Senen Station.
Meanwhile, for Sunday, December 25, 18,800 passengers departed. Despite the decline compared to the 23rd and 24th of December.
However, this number is still increasing compared to the volume on the normal weekend with an average passenger departing of around 11 thousand passengers.
