OTT Garbage Use Drones On Four Crossing Net Motor Vehicle Free Day In East Jakarta
JAKARTA - The use of drones as a monitoring tool for cleaners who are determined to litter on the Motor Vehicle Free Day (HBKB) of Pemuda Street, Rawamangun, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta, has proven to be effective.
Several residents of HBKB visitors were caught in a hand arrest (OTT) littering with the East Jakarta Environmental Sub-dept. on Sunday morning, November 27.
Using drones, officers from the East Jakarta LH Sub-dept. and the East Jakarta Communications and Information Sub-Department arrested residents in an operation to catch them littering at the HBKB.
"Supervision and prosecution (wasdak) of violators of cleanliness according to Perda 3 of 2013, we carry out every Sunday. Wasdak in East Jakarta is carried out on the fourth Sunday every month," said Head of Community Participation and Legal Stipulation of the East Jakarta LH Sub-dept., Latifah Hanum told reporters, Sunday, November 27.
From observations at the location, drones were flown along the sports area to monitor waste. In the operation using the drone, as many as 4 residents were exposed to raids.
"Earlier, there were 4 residents who committed violations of litter disposal. Sanctions according to the Regional Regulation, every violator has a maximum fine of 500 thousand, but generally we give social sanctions by installing a (written) board that will no longer carry out waste disposal," he said.
The four residents were collected at the post and given social sanctions. The operation to catch hands littering is carried out in accordance with Regional Regulation number 3 of 2013 concerning waste management and can be fined a maximum of five hundred thousand rupiah.

Previously, the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono emphasized that the operation to catch hands (OTT) using drones to residents who littered with garbage was still continuing. Heru said the focus of monitoring waste disposal OTT was carried out at crowded points such as during the Motor Vehicle Free Day (HBKB) activities.
"(OTT using drones) is still ongoing, moving around at certain points, crowded points such as the current HBKB. If there is a certain crowd, for example at GBK, we will also assign it," said Heru in the HI Roundabout area, Sunday, November 27.
