Have Your Honor's Intention, Rudiger Will Donate 2022 World Cup Bonus To Children In Sierra Leon
JAKARTA - German national team defender Antonio Rudiger will donate all the bonuses he gets from the 2022 World Cup for children in Sierra Leon.
Rudiger will distribute the money to help children with disabilities and those with health problems in their hometowns.
Rudiger was born and raised in Berlin, Germany. But he had a strong reason to choose the southern part of Africa as his donation location, that's because his parents came from there.
Rudiger's initiative to donate was also carried out as a form of gratitude and gratitude for having a football career that has been going well so far.
"It hurts to see the circumstances in which children in Sierra Leone grow up, who are delighted to receive news that the operation has gone well," Rudiger said.
"I have been given the opportunity in Germany which many people have rejected in Sierra Leone. I am grateful for this opportunity and I really appreciate the special situation I have experienced," he said.
This is not the only time Rudiger has carried out social actions, this 29-year-old player was previously also known as a philanthropist. When in Chelsea uniform, Rudiger is often involved in social activities in London.
Rudiger also sent a Real Madrid jersey to children in Sierra Leone who had just finished surgery and were still in pain.
It is likely that donation alone is not enough to fulfill Rudiger's good intentions. In the near future, he also intends to establish a social foundation in Sierra Leone. This was done in order to help more children in his hometown. Because according to him, carrying out charity activities is something of honor.
"Helping here is an honor for me. I want to carry out more projects in Sierra Leone with my family in the future," he concluded.
