PKB Denies Democratic Issues And PKS Entering Cabinet: Jokowi's Coalition Is Strong

JAKARTA - The issue of a reshuffle has resurfaced after the Bali G20 Summit. It is said that the Democratic Party and PKS will enter the cabinet in order to eliminate friction ahead of the 2024 Election or strengthen the government at the end of President Jokowi's term of office.

Deputy Secretary of the PKB Shura Council Maman Imanulhaq admitted that his party had never heard of this issue. He said that during his last meeting with President Jokowi at the State Palace at the end of last month, there was no talk of a cabinet reshuffle.

"I met on October 31 at the Palace, there was no talk of a reshuffle," Maman told reporters, quoted Monday, November 21.

According to him, Jokowi's government is currently strong with the support of 7 political parties (political parties) in parliament and a number of non-parliamentary political parties.

"I see that Jokowi is already strong with the existing coalition," said Maman.

After all, this member of Commission VII of the DPR said that all political parties are focusing on developing a strategy to win the 2024 Pileg and Presidential Election. This includes PKB, which is targeting to be on the list of 3 political parties with the most votes in the 2024 Pileg.

"In the 2023-2024 political year, all political parties are more focused on how to win the election. Yesterday, I also asked for prayers and support so that PKB would be in the top 3. Jokowi said, 'God willing, he would be in the top 3'," said Maman.

Previously, Democratic Party spokesman Herzaky Mahendra Putra revealed that the Democratic Party received an offer to enter the cabinet led by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

He said his party also received a ministerial seat offer on condition that the Democrats cancel plans to form a Change Coalition with the NasDem Party and PKS.

However, Herzaky stressed, the Democratic Party is currently still focused on plans to form a Coalition for Change. This was done as an effort to prepare for the 2024 Legislative and Presidential Elections.

"Any offers (ministerial seats) that come, whether directly or indirectly, as long as they are in a good way and with good intentions, are part of the communication and hospitality efforts of friends," said Herzaky.

Herzaky said the Democratic Party wants to enter government in the 2024-2029 period with the NasDem Party and PKS. According to him, the people will feel the changes and improvements in this country.

Herzaky ensured that the government's policies at that time would really benefit the people. The government consisting of Democrats, NasDem and PKS will carry out developments that are intended for the welfare of the people. Not the other way around, carrying out development at the expense of the people.

"Together with the people, fight for change and improvement for this country. Ensure that government policies are as beneficial as possible for the people. Carry out development for the people, not the people who are sacrificed for development," he said, Monday, November 14.
