PT Pos Sudah Salurkan Bantuan Subsidi Wage Ke 9,500 Pekerja Di Batam

BATAM - PT Pos Indonesia Riau Islands Province Branch has distributed wage subsidies to around 9,500 workers in Batam City.Head of the Main Branch Office of the Riau Islands Indonesian Post, Elan Pramudiansyah, said the number of workers in Batam City who received wage subsidy assistance from the government was 29,306 people."Of these 29,306 workers, we have distributed up to 9,500 workers. This distribution has been running for several days in Batam," Elan said when contacted in Batam, Antara, Wednesday, November 9.He said that currently the distribution of wage subsidies or BSUs is focused on recipients who work at companies having their addresses in Batam City."We are targeting the main distribution period to be completed on November 14," he said."The purpose of this main distribution is to companies with addresses in Batam City. Because after we see and check for the address of the company that includes its workers as BSU recipients, there are those who have changed addresses, either moving in the city or moving out of town," he explained. The government provides subsidy assistance to wages of IDR 600,000 to workers with a maximum salary of IDR 3.5 million per month or equivalent to the provincial minimum wage and/or district/city which is rounded up to a full hundreds of thousands.Elan advised prospective BSU recipient workers to download the Pospay application and then select the Ministry of Manpower logo, upload e-KTP photos, and follow directions to obtain codes to facilitate the distribution of aid."We recommend getting a barcode first and then coming to the Post Office to facilitate distribution and speed up the process," he said.Prospective BSU recipient workers must bring original identity cards when taking wage subsidies and cannot represent family members or friends to collect assistance.PT Pos Indonesia Riau Islands Provincial Branch carries out two mechanisms in distributing BSU, namely by serving workers taking direct assistance to the Post Office and visiting the company to distribute aid to workers.
