The Most Exciting G20 RI Event: There Are 438 Events, Exceeding The Number Of Days In A Year
JAKARTA - The government through the Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto said that Indonesia was able to show good leadership in carrying out the mandate as G20 President for the 2022 period.
According to him, this indication is shown by a number of agreements that have been reached on the meeting agendas that have been prepared by the National Committee. In his statement, Airlangga said that Indonesia had succeeded in leading hundreds of events for the G20 countries that had been rolling since the beginning of the year.
"During the G20, a total of 438 meetings have been held. It consists of ministerial meetings, working groups, engagement groups, and side events. This figure (event) exceeds the number of days in a year which is only 365 days,” he said during a press conference on Monday, November 7.
Airlangga explained, the number of meetings was spread to various cities in Indonesia and not only concentrated in Jakarta or Bali.
"Based on our data, the meetings were held in 25 cities," he added.
Due to the hectic schedule of the G20 2022, several countries expressed their admiration for Indonesia's ability to lead this group of the world's largest economies.
“Our counterparts said, wow, this is the G20 which has the most meetings. The language of young people today is the most excited," he said.

Furthermore, Airlangga is optimistic that Indonesia has valuable provisions in welcoming the summit agenda of the High Level Conference (KTT) in mid-November in Bali. Moreover, Indonesia has recorded a number of flashy achievements in terms of macroeconomic indicators that are not necessarily owned by developed countries.
"Moreover, Indonesia's economic growth is very good with 5.72 percent (year on year/yoy in the third quarter of 2022) and inflation has also decreased (to) 5.7 percent (yoy in October 2022)," he said.
"So we have a good performance in leading the G20 and making Indonesia's position even more calculated," concluded Coordinating Minister Airlangga Hartarto.
