In particular Bali, as one of the strategic tourism hubs in the Central region of Indonesia. "Through the development of the inter-country flight network that we continue to optimize in particular in supporting efforts to accelerate the recovery of national tourism, it is hoped that the operation of the Narita (Tokyo)-Denpasar route can expand the international route network served to Bali as an entry gate for foreign tourists in the Central Indonesia region," he said in an official statement received by VOI, Tuesday, November 1.
Irfan said, through Bali, foreign tourists can go to various leading destinations in Indonesia such as Labuan Bajo, Lombok, Kupang, Makassar. Thus, it is hoped that it can support the Government's projection in pursuing the target of foreign tourist arrivals to Indonesia in 2022, which is 3.6 million visits. "It coincides with the recovery momentum of the tourism industry which is also supported by the enthusiasm of foreign tourists, especially from Japan to Indonesia, which increasingly shows a positive increase, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic situation," he said. "This is also a positive signal for efforts to strengthen synergies that continue to be carried out with tourism industry stakeholders, in particular in supporting national economic recovery through the presence of sealess travel experience for tourists," he continued. Irfan said that the presence of the Narita-Denpasar pp direct flight complements the flight route from and to Japan, which previously also operated first, namely Haneda-Jakarta pp. Furthermore, Irfan hopes that the operation of these routes can participate in supporting the progress of leading commodities in the Eastern Indonesia region to the global market with a safe and fast cargo transportation distribution process. "Coinciding with the High Level Conference (KTT) as the highlight of the G20 Presidency event in Bali in mid-November, it is hoped that the operation of the Narita-Denpasar route can also support the smoothness and success of the event with the availability of comfortable and safe air transportation, especially for those participating actively in the event," concluded Irfan.
