Fabio Quartararo Will Fight in Valencia MotoGP with a Broken Finger
JAKARTA - Monster Yamaha Racing MotoGP racer, Fabio Quartararo, is not in optimal condition in the race to determine the world title at the Valencia Circuit, in early November. The driver's finger is still broken.
The 2022 MotoGP World Champion will only undergo surgery after the Valencia MotoGP race, on 6 November.
As is known, Quartararo suffered a broken finger in his left hand after falling during the fourth free practice session of the Malaysian MotoGP, some time ago. At that time, he was about to devour the 4th corner.
After the accident, he continued to race at the Sepang Circuit. In the qualifying session, he was in the 12th position.
The more outstanding performance was shown during the race. The French rider finished third on the podium despite starting from the 12th position.
This result has made him successful in keeping his hopes of becoming the 2022 MotoGP world champion. However, the chances are very small.
Currently, Francesco Bagnaia leads the standings with 258 points. The Ducati rider was 23 points ahead of Quartararo who finished second.
Quartararo must win in the next race while hoping Bagnaia doesn't get more than one point. Not an easy job, especially with a broken finger.
