COVID-19 Update as of October 10: 1,195 New Cases, 15,871 Active Cases
JAKARTA - The Task Force for Handling COVID-19 released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 62,431 specimens were examined with the result that there were 1,195 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,446,143 people and active cases have fallen to 15,871 cases", said the data from the COVID-19 Task Force, Monday, October 10.
Today's recovered cases increased by 1,518 people, bringing the total to 6,272,053 recovered. Then, the number of positive confirmed cases who died increased by 14 cases and the total was 158,219 people.
The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 496 cases and a total of 1,431,382 cases. Followed by West Java with 186 new cases with a total of 1,182,444 cases. East Java with 112 new cases and a total of 606,989 cases. Banten with 99 new cases and a total of 338,530 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 584 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 273 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 150 recovered cases, and Central Java with an additional 104 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 109,268,056.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 6.14 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 3,085 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
To date, 204,700,929 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 171,321,993 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 64,039,502 people and the fourth dose was 638,062 people. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
