Top of the standings after overthrowing Liverpool, Arteta feels Arsenal are not at the level of Manchester City

JAKARTA - Arsenal can top the Premier League standings after winning 3-2 over Liverpool. However, for Mikel Arteta, his team's performance is still not at the level of Manchester City.

Arsenal's three points in the 10th week of the match brought the Gunners back to the top of the standings with 24 points. That number is one point ahead of defending champions Manchester City in second place.

Arteta thinks that the victory over Liverpool is very important to increase the confidence of his children. The coach also feels their game reflects how Arsenal is playing at the moment.

However, Arteta insists that competing with Manchester City will not be easy. The Citizens have shown the consistency to keep chasing the title in the last five years.

"They (Man City) are very strong, they have done it for five years and we haven't done it", Arteta said as quoted by the Mirror on Monday.

Arsenal still needs to show more serious hard work to really outperform The Citizens. Because the Gunners last won the Premier League in the 2003/2004 season.
