Police Reminded To Be Polite During Operation Zebra 2022, Leaders Supervise Subordinates To Prevent Arrogance
BANDUNG - The West Java (Jabar) Police Chief Inspector General Suntana asked the police deployed in Operation Zebra Lodaya 2022 to be polite when dealing directly with the public.
According to the West Java Regional Police Chief, the operation needs to be carried out in a persuasive, humane and educative manner, supported by electronic law enforcement or sympathetic warnings to increase public sympathy for the police.
"Keep polite and professional. Don't let traffic police work not according to procedures," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, October 3.
According to the West Java Police Chief, there is no police who enforce the traffic law in a stationary and hunting system. Therefore, the West Java Police Chief also asked the officers to supervise his subordinates in order to prevent arrogance when reprimanding the public.
"Take firm action if there are members who violate and take actions that can degrade the image of the Police," he said.
In Operation Zebra in 2022, according to him, the West Java Police deployed 1,932 police, consisting of 520 from the West Java Regional Police, and 1,412 from the ranks of the Resort Police.

Operation Zebra 2022 will be held from 3-16 October 2022 simultaneously throughout Indonesia in order to create conditions of security, safety, order, and smooth traffic ahead of Christmas 2022 and New Year 2023.
According to Inspector General Suntana, the objects of violation that will be targeted by the police include noisy exhausts, inappropriate use of number plates, inappropriate sirens and rotators, and violations that have the potential to cause traffic accidents.
"It is also advised that the public always obey the rules and procedures for good traffic and respect each other for fellow road users," he said.
