Deputy Governor Cok Ace Asks for Flight Ticket Prices to Bali to be Lowered
BADUNG - Deputy Governor of Bali, Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati, or Cok Ace, asked the government through the Ministry of Transportation to reduce ticket prices for domestic flights to Bali. Ticket prices, which are currently considered expensive, have an impact on the level of tourist visits to the Island of the Gods.
"Especially for domestic (flights), because we feel that ticket prices are quite expensive, that's what we are worried about. If possible, domestic prices are (lowered) especially, because usually, our ratio between foreign tourists and domestic ones is at least 1.5 or 2 times more than foreign tourists. but now the difference is very small", said Cok Ace in Badung, Bali, Wednesday, September 28.
According to Cok Ace, communication with the Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi has been carried out. The governor of Bali is said to have intense coordination regarding this issue.
Cok Ace compared the ticket prices for domestic flights to Bali before the pandemic, ranging from IDR 1 million to IDR 1.2 million. But now it's IDR 1.8 million
"If it can be lowered again (around) IDR 1.4 million. But it's up to you, this is a lot of review of our application, it may be beyond our ability to fulfill and the point is that we want a policy that can help domestic tourists to Bali", said Cok Ace.
