No Longer Using Report Cards, Elementary School Students Grade 1-3 In Supiori Papua Uses Assessment
PAPUA - The Education and Culture Office (Disdik) of Supiori Regency, Papua starting from the 2022/2023 school year will implement an assessment system for students in grades 1, 2, and 3 at the Elementary School (SD) level.
"Assessment of student achievement grades 1,2 and 3 no longer uses report cards but uses assessments that are carried out all the time," said Supiori Disdik Head, Rafles Ngilamele, when contacted on Sunday, September 25.
Rafles said that the assessment system is an attempt to obtain data/information from the learning process and results to find out how well students are performing.
According to Rafles, student assessments for each lesson, when compared to certain learning objectives or achievement criteria, can be carried out by the teacher every day.
"Giving grades 1 to 3 grades of elementary school students with an assessment system can take place every study day without having to wait for the results of the report card assessment every six months or per semester," he said, according to Antara.
Rafles admits that the assessment of grade 1,2 and grade 3 students will be given a description per subject item directly by the teacher concerned.
"Because this is the first time it has been implemented in Supiori Regency, we hope that elementary school teachers can implement the assessment policy and run smoothly," he said.
Supiori Regency is an expansion area of the Biak Numfor Regency which was formed based on the Law of the Republic of Indonesia 45 of 2003 concerning regional expansion.
