JAKARTA - The pilgrimage tradition does not only apply in Indonesia. In Hollywood, this has often been done. Most recently, actress Ana de Armas made a pilgrimage to Marilyn Monroe's grave.
He explained that this pilgrimage was made to obtain permission when playing Marilyn Monroe in the film Blonde. Ana de Armas also admitted that he felt the presence of Monroe ahead of production.
We got a big card and all the crew wrote a message for her (Marlyn Monroe). Then we went to the cemetery and put it on the grave. We asked for permission, Ana de Armas told AnOther Magazine.

Monroe's grave is located at Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park in Los Angeles. The funeral is the last resting place for artists. Apart from Monroe, there are Jack Lemmon, Roy Orbison, and Dean Martin.
After the filming process was carried out, Ana de Armas said he could not escape from the role. He also felt the presence of Monroe while filming in Los Angeles.
"I really believe he was very close to us. He was with us at that time," he continued.
He would throw things out of the wall and be angry when he didn't like something. Maybe this sounds mystical but it really happened. We felt it, said Ana de Armas.
Blonde tells the life of Marilyn Monroe in the '50s, namely the golden age. In the midst of her popularity, Monroe feels tired when she is Jeane's totalis.
