With the synergy between BP2MI and various policy makers, including the disclosure of law enforcement officers in the West Kalimantan region, it is also stated that there are more illegal PMI cases," he said. confiscated by Antara.
Nevertheless, he continued, although the number of cases rose, simultaneously decreased, because the methods and modes of the perpetrators could already be known when in action.
"The most prominent reason regarding the rise of illegal PMIs entering the West Kalimantan-Malaysia border area is due to the existence of traditional migration. Traditional migration means that people have been used to working as illegal PMIs to Malaysia even without official administration and procedures," he said.
He conveyed that it was a joint task to inform all parties to use official channels and not violate the rules that had been set. In accordance with Law Number 18 of 2017.
"So, in this case, we are not making it difficult. This is more in the direction to provide protection for themselves," he said.
